The inauguration of the church was performed by the Metropolitan of Paphos George on April 24, 2015, who had provided the space for the construction. Saint Matrona was born in 1881 in Russia, blind from birth . She died in 1952. From the age of 6 she was given the foresighted and insightful gift.
