"Jazz in Marciac" is a jazz festival that takes place over a period of three weeks in July/August. It attracts about 200.000 visitors to gather in Marciac, a small medieval town with about 1200 inhabitants. One of the French dishes you can order in any restaurant is "steak frites." Here in the south, especially in Gers, duck is a common dish. Sometimes it's Foie de canard or Magret de canard, but mostly it's Confit de Canard
