There was obviously no longer any more demand for leather goods in Gramat, or at least not enough for this store.

Although Gramat only has about 3,500 inhabitants, it is one of the larger towns in the area. I walked through Gramat many years ago on my way to Rocamadour; it's only about 10 kilometers from here. The town's centerpiece is the market hall from 1880.
