WSL - Tywyn plinth {4 of 4}

Looking at the plinth from across the High Street, the location is some way from the pavement and quite a height. Should be interesting getting the waggon and it's slate slab in position.

Looking at the plinth from across the High Street, the location is some way from the pavement and quite a height. Should be interesting getting the waggon and it's slate slab in position. The wall is a little more than 1m in height and it's around 10m to the plinth, which is raised another 30cm [these distances are guesstimates from memory].

Night shot of the recently completed plinth - outside the council offices in Tywyn High Street. Having looked at it in daylight, slate chips have been used as the "ballast" rather than the crushed stone that would be used on a running line. Also, on a pedantic note, the "ballast" should almost cover the sleepers.

SBB[24]/DoL[24] {5/5} - hole {2 of 2} [HFF]

Another view of the hole alongside the Wharf - in standard gauge territory - which will be the location for "696" when the transhipment display is established. Speaking of 696 - that's her - the CAM RYS liveried vehicle in the background. . E2A - 696 was craned onto a track panel in early November 2024 - the manoeuvre was protected by a temporary "blockade" of the main line ... some images *should* come my way soon.

Somewhat rusted but not excessively corroded, one of the benefits of steel underframes - even in this location [next to the Floating Harbour, Bristol].
