Recently restored - in July - for service, Leyland Titan KTP 909 arrived in November 2024 ... Running in Weardale Motor Services red livery. It's a 1948 built PD2/1, seating 53 over the two decks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyland_Titan_(front-engined_double-decker)

The state of this is embarrassing !!!! It was carefully restored in 2009 before returning to Beamish, although it was originally stored under cover, it has been sadly neglected. A flip up shelf is missing [original material] and it needs a proper repaint.

The "Repair Department" from Reece's Electricals ... This brought back some memories of my father in law - he worked for Morley's of Crawcrook, and all of this would have been familiar to him - tools and the objects under repair. However, I do hope those CRT on that cupboard have been made safe and are firmly fixed in place. You do not want to be anywhere near an imploding CRT !

This is a tumble dryer ... Built by Parnall's of Yate. [My paternal grandfather and father were two of several relatives on that side of the family that worked for Parnalls during WW2} My parent's in law had one of these, it was still working around 1985, maybe even later. And it had a modified door handle.
