Over the period 1990 to 2019, the USA's greenhouse gas emissions have varied. There was a sustained increase to approx 2008, when there was a significant economic recession. During the "Obama years" one of the factors reducing these emissions was the "Paris Accords" - wef from late 2016. Unfortunately, trump attempts to withdraw from these protocols has undone some of the gains made. Hopefully, Briden's re-enactment and COP26 agreements will see further controls on pollution. . .
