First stage was to bring 696 over to the edge of the Wharf, and pause ... Mix of chains & strops with adjustable spreader bars.

Up in the air again, as 696 approaches the track panel.

Lowering 696 with the aim of landing four square on the track panel.

Down at last, and the strops etc removed.

Another angle, showing the relative levels of the tracks on the Wharf. This will be the site of the transhipment display. Of the four waggons in the view, two appear to be metal bodied "rubbish / waste" waggons , and then one furthest away looks very much like a Hudson "skip" waggon [side tipper].

Somewhat rusted but not excessively corroded, one of the benefits of steel underframes - even in this location [next to the Floating Harbour, Bristol].
