This deceptively simple design by Hudson (Leeds) was the merger of a Fordson Major tractor engine and transmission mounted onto a rail chassis. Works No. 36863 of 1929 originally worked at a brickworks, was initially preserved at another site before arriving at Statfold. [dates ?] [I saw the very similar loco wksno 33924 at Apedale in 2015]

two blue Fordsons, I think both are Dextas but "Grave Digger" [on the far left] has been re-engined. The Green one is {T14} a Fordson Standard RegNo CTY 313 to the right is {T44} a Nuffield 460, built 1961, RegNo KSH 115

{5-1} 1957 Fordson Thames ET6 [168 UYH] I really like the conversion that has been done with the waggon back. That's what I call a neat idea, enabling the exhibitor to keep a close eye on the vehicle.

Fordson tractor - the dumb buffers were for "shunting" in the depot (London Transport).

Literally a rail tractor. (2ft gauge) the prime mover is a Fordson major tractor, with the final drive powering the rail wheels. It was built by R Hudson of Leeds No. 39924 in 1931 and was visiting from the Statfold Barn Railway.
