wsc[24] - arrivals ...

AJSMOC members, with some guests, arriving at the Robin Hood Inn for their winter solstice meal. The menu had various seasonal options in the three courses, as expected it was all top notch. We've taken over half the tables in the main bar area, instead of sitting in the "snug" - with 20 people booked in and the new branch mascot ... we needed the extra space.

STR[H] - interior [HTT]

30 Oct 2024 157
Looking inside, after a very busy period, there's now a few tables free. We had had the soup - curried vegetable, which was a lovely, warming & very filling meal. Can't quite see into the "Bootneck's Corner" [at the back, on the left] where I've sat, in a comfy armchair, a few times with Ben de-Dog ... Note : the suspended cycle - Not only are Dug & Kim dog-friendly, they also accept cyclists !

Looking North from the College balcony, with the training fleet moored to the pontoons. Just after I took this image, a small gang of lifeboat crewpersons spent a while re-arranging the deckchairs and table/chair sets. Afterwards, they sat down on the benches surrounding the compass rose & flagpole. HBM / 22ndJuly2024 HTT / 23rdJuly2024

30 Aug 2023 3 1 258
The seaward frontage of the Rendezvous Cafe, with the good weather external tables & chairs. Dog-friendly but with a limited menu of snacks and hot/cold drinks. The windblown sand underfoot had me thinking of Wilson, Keppell & Betty.

eld - tables on the green

30 Jun 2023 7 5 254
Under a tree on the village green, outside the "Bird in Bush" we found these tables, sadly it wasn't warm enough to eat outside, but we found that the pub was dog-friendly, so had our lunch inside. Note: the oak on the background, apart from the circular bench, the stone pillar has a commemorative plaque - see other images for detail.
