Surface runoff - aka rainwater - flowing down the pathway up onto the fell [the local common] after several hours of really heavy rain. The area by this gate was becoming impassable.

Gates marking where the foot-crossing takes the public walking route over the South Tynedale Railway. The winter work programme means that the track gang have replaced a lot of wooden sleepers along here, and added new ballast. A lot of the old sleepers were nearing the end of their second working life, and I suspect may end up as fire-lighting material.

Walking up [literally] to the new shed at Locomotion, Shildon. A few benches for those that need a sit down rest ... I think a few more may arrive before long. There's a nice airlock doorway, but all the facilities are in the main building.

That white splat is "bird lime" which just missed a friend as they walked along the pathway.
