The standard pyramid nosing used on carriage running boards. Usually bought in 3m lengths, cot to length, drilled and painted before being sealed onto the running boards - if the last stage is omitted then water and hence rust will affect them.

Borth lifeguard station - for some years [since 2001] the RNLI have been training lifeguards who patrol selected beaches around the country. As they are "on the beach" their response time is faster than launching a lifeboat, although they often provide advice and minor interventions to avert the need to take such serious actions. New gates and signage, this one asks visitors to remember that although this place is know to be an ANOB [Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty] it and the surrounding farmland still needs looking after - take your rubbish home, watch out you don't disturb wildlife etc. and no fires / BBQs.

Well, here goes ... About to cross back over to the north bank. This bridge feels a lot sturdier & with a better "fence" than I remember ...

No idea who thought that this pattern was a good idea, even on the flat - much less on a flight of stairs ! Not my image (as it is a meme) - but IMO a clear case of the 'ealth n safety lawsuit waiting to happen.
