That sign has been there so long that the tree has begun to grow around it. If/when that tree is felled, I do hope they don't try slicing that area with a normal saw, that would get very messy - and probably expensive.

I can sympathise with the person who wrote the text for this notice. Seen on display at the Bowes Railway, Springwell.
