One of the aircraft in the cold war V-bomber grouping, designed for high-altitude attacks, was withdrawn in 1965 as the change to low-level tactics over-stressed the airframes. There is a clear panel in place of the door, allowing visitors to see into the crew compartment - the two pilots sit side-by-side in the upper cockpit. Currently wearing the all-white ant-flash livery. The only RAF type to have dropped nuclear [albeit test] weapons, the first one was in October 1956. yup, it's still snowing [on the other side] ! from the amount accumulated, that snowfall has been going on for some time - about three to four hours, I think.

Lovely [not] Yellow Warning form the UK's Met Office for Snow & Ice on Saturday 15th February 2025. A cold and frosty sunrise, with a light dusting of snow added for the scenic touch. A very few minutes later and clouds had obscured the rising run.
