1924 built 7hp "National Gas Engine" {No. PP1667} Demonstration - using belt drive to power a pump [got the image angle a bit wrong, so cut off the edge of the pump]. The engine runs on Petrol / Paraffin.

This 20hp Crossley model "SS" engine formerly powered the Crowle swing bridge [1905 to 1970s, when it was demolished] - was built 1904, in Manchester, operates on paraffin, with "hot tube" ignition.
Later in the day, this engine was running quite well, given that they sometimes "hiccough" / "backfire" ...

A single cylinder diesel, which came to life on 03rd October 1939.
It was procured by Lionel de Rothschild for working on their Exbury Estate, near Southampton.

bought for the Exbury Estate of Lionel de Rothschild.
