General view of the motorbikes, a wide range of ages and marques presented, given how few cars were here, there are plenty of two-wheelers !

Sunday morning we were greeted by loads and loads of motorbikes. Investigation produced ... www.gentlemansride.com www.gentlemansride.com/rides/england there were 1044 riders registered for Bournmouth - Poole and the total raised was £ 91,473.00 ... quite astounding ! as was the noise when they started up to have the actual ride.

Some of the crew from "Lifeboat 416" are watching the "Distinguished Gentleman's Ride" motorbikes with bemusement. Having walked up the main drag of the village green at Stamfordham, as I turned around I could see a lot of m/bikes, their riders and many other visitors. All happily chatting away and looking at a huge range of makes and models of m/bikes - from very modern to one that was approaching a century in age !

very mixed selection of motorcycles, from relatively modern imports from the Far East to some quite classy old British marques. And a lot in between ! Earlier, we watched as the majority of them had a run around the arena.
