clch - Bonn Challenge and Trillion Trees Projects

Launched in 2011, the Bonn Challenge project to aims to restore degraded forest areas, the target set was 350 million hectares by 2030. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonn_Challenge Following on from other initiatives, The Trillion Trees campaign dates from 2016, with the aim of planting trees to combat climate change. By 2021, 164 restoration schemes had contributed approximately 1.396% of the target. [probably an underestimate, as many small schemes are not included - like the 200+ trees and large shrubs I have planted ...]. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trillion_Tree_Campaign . not my image : fair use & public information
