All white Airbus A330-322 9H-AGU of HiFly Malta, leased to Thomas Cook Airlines, arriving at Manchester from Tenerife. This was delivered new to Malaysian Airline System in early 1996, as 9M-MKZ, and has since flown with SABENA, Air Luxor (Egypt), Garuda Indonesia, The Royal Australian Air Force, TAP Air Portugal and Saudia. There have been no scheduled A340 flights at Manchester for a good few years now, so it’s a rare and welcome sight when one turns up. This rather smart looking specimen is Airbus A340-313X 9H-TQM, of HiFly Malta, moving out with a Thomas Cook callsign. This particular machine was new in 1996 to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SJF, then to Khalifa Airways (Algeria) in 2002 as 7T-VKL, and Etihad Airways in 2004 as A6-EYC. It moved to HiFly in 2009 and subsquently sub-leased out to various airlines as diverse as Air Greenland and the Royal Australian Air Force. Sun18Jun17.
