British Railways Standard 9F 2-10-0 92240 in the bay by the footbridge at Sheffield Park station. It was saved from Woodham's scrapyard in 1978 but it was to be another 12 years before it steamed again, the first 9F to do so in preservation. After a period of active service 92240 was withdrawn some time ago. There is a current scheme known as "Awake the Giant" actively seeking donations for its restoration. HFF to everyone. It was the first day of the Bluebell Railway's 65th Anniversary Gala but at 07.31 the action is still to come and getting a seat here is easy. When the show starts it may be more difficult... HBM to everyone. Enjoy the start of the new week.

Stroudley A1 0-6-0T 72 Fenchurch is on the tail of the 15.00 train to Horsted Keynes during the Bluebell Railway's 65th Anniversary Gala.
