Toiyabe Crest Trail, in the Toiyabe Range of central Nevada. At a divide looking north over the drainage of Washington Creek. The trail continues over the saddle on the skyline, but we exited down Washington Creek! And, as is usual on a central Nevada trail, we didn't see another soul. Elevation here is a bit over 9200 ft (~2800 m). The gray-green shrub covering the hills is sagebrush ( Artemisia spp., probably Artemisia tridentata ).
