The Volt party is part of a pan-EU initiative. In every country of the EU there is a Volt party promoting pro-EU policies. As there are enough pro-EU parties in the Dutch parliament, they are not very popular. They had two seats, now they have one seat. The forty year old leader pretends to be young. His main priorities are to get the government opening an account on BlueSky and Gaza.

Every polling station counts about 1000–1500 votes (depending on the number of voters that come to the particular polling station). You need about 70,000 votes for a seat in the 150-seats Second Chamber. The Netherlands has a system of proportional representation, there are twenty electoral districts, mainly to organise the elections, but you can have different candidates for every district, but the main parties participate in every district and have the same list in every district. All the votes are added up over the entire country.

Because the Dutch founded New Amsterdam, now New York, the Dutch can vote for the House of Representatives. In reality this is a mistranslation and a sign of Americanisation. The correct message would be that we can vote for the Second Chamber (of the States General). The use of English is also a bit strange, as only people with Dutch nationality can vote, which means that they also speak Dutch. It would make sense In municipal elections, because residents from different countries and backgrounds can also vote.
