I am mildly obsessed with the ID. Buzz in its several forms when I did not, at first, think I would be. The traditional or rather original Camper is a hard act to follow. In the immediate aftermath of a photo-rich holiday I was pleased to get even one entirely unexpected photograph in my home area. This 2024 (73-reg) Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo Commerce Plus, operated by Mitie was at a charging point at a particularly good local garage in Lee on Solent. 330_2_P1020624CE

I photographed this Volkswagen Beetle in Kralendijk, Bonaire i) because it has a Bonaire plate (obvs), ii) I am not sure it is a European market colour, iii) I am not sure the spoiler is a European mod. and iv) because I could. 330_2_P1020551E

In the states where the climate helps to prevent corrosion, a fair few old Beetles can still be seen - fortunately for me. This Arizona registered example was next door at Chino Airport, California. 330_P1020860SCE

This very splendid 1972 Volkswagen Beetle was seen at CEMAST, Lee on Solent. CEMAST is an engineering college which includes, on its curriculum, automotive so one might image the owner knows how to look after a car. 330_P1020601CE

Curiously recorded as a 2006 example (production ended, I believe, in 2003), this Volkswagen Beetle was seen in a Matlock car park. 330_P1020288SCE

On a day when I had already seen my first Volkswagen ID. Buzz, I was motivated to visit Portsmouth dealer Peter Cooper to seek out a second. Happily for me, this Style model was prominently parked outside. 330_P1020111CE

The first part of January 2023 brought poor weather to Hampshire and opportunities for photography were limited. This made it doubly pleasing when I came across my first Volkswagen ID. Buzz at Car Adviser Ltd., Park Gate, Fareham. This 2022 example is a Life model. TZ70_3_P1010588CE

This 1979 Volkswagen Transporter was seen at Hauser & Wirth, Somerset near Bruton. Double Dutch appears to be an internet based company. Photographs on the company's Instagram account show that drinks can be served from the van which converts into a bar - shame I did not see it in action. 330_P1000132E
