Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 104/PN03ULY at North Weald Airfield. Formerly with Swallow Coaches which, reportedly, went into administration in March 2020. TZ70_P1020767E

The Slimming World bus, Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident W575RSG, is touring the UK and Ireland until 29 September 2019. The organisation is celebrating its 50th anniversary and the bus is provided by Commbus, a specialist supplier of promotional vehicles. With the crowds it attracted on its Fareham stop, there was, as it were, a fat chance of a classic bus photograph but at least I captured the event. I could have waited until the crowds thinned out but, for me, it was a case of do or diet. TZ70_P1000861E

Xelabus Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 526/J8XEL (formerly Y856GCD) at ASDA Fareham on ASDA Free Bus duty. As is the case with many Xelabus vehicles, this registration has been used before within the fleet, having previously been on Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart 404. 200_3_P1060365CE

An unexpected sight on an evening visit to Fareham was First Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 33181/LR02LZA at the town's bus station. I believe this has been cascaded from First Berkshire following the discontinuation of Route 200, the Legoland Shuttle. There is a lot of grain in this night shot which is disappointing at only 1600 ISO but a handheld shot at only 1/4 of a second makes me feel a little happier. 200_3_P1040199E

First East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Trident 32707/W707PHT has been withdrawn from service and appears to have been donated to CEMAST at Fareham which, as the colour scheme reminds us, it used to serve on a shuttle service. 32708 is still seen on such services together with vehicles in standard First colours. 200_3_P1040146E

Following my observation of a single vehicle on 9 May 2016, there were three Wheelers buses at Eastleigh Works on today's visit. With this seeming to continue a pattern of use observed in early April 2016, one might surmise that the company uses Eastleigh for overflow as its premises can become quite crowded. Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident P3WTL was one of the today's three vehicles. 200_2_P1100580C

With this seeming to continue a pattern of use observed in early April 2016, one might surmise that the company uses Eastleigh for overflow as its premises can become quite crowded. It is a bit untraditional to photograph buses from behind but I want a record of comings and goings and the pictures show that the 'back end of a bus' does not necessarily mean 'ugly'. It is seen in Market Parade, Havant between journeys on Tesco Freebus, thus bringing yet more variety to a service on which I have photographed many vehicles, and carries Itchen Sixth Form College vinyls. 200_2_P1080289

Looking a little dustier than in the first week of service , the spare vehicle, First East Lancs Mylennium Lolyne bodied Dennis Trident 32764/WJ55CSO was in service on Portsmouth Park and Ride on a dull October afternoon. I have commented in the past how photographs of buses also serve a secondary role of recording cinema history. My earlier photograph carried advertising for 'The Quiet Ones'. 200_2_P1070204

Although the Trident is far from new, this picture very much shows the modern face of First in Hampshire. Optare Solo SR 53608/YJ14BKN leads East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Trident 32707/W707PHT in its 2014 overall scheme for Fareham College/CEMAST for which it provides shuttle services. 200_2_P1060184C

The 2015 Stokes Bay Bus Rally provided me with an opportunity to catch up with a vehicle which has eluded me in service - in terms of decent photographic opportunities. First East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Trident 32707/W707PHT carries an overall scheme for Fareham College/CEMAST for which it operates shuttle services with 32708. Also in shot is Southampton City East Lancs bodied Leyland Atlantean 274/KOW274Y. 200_2_P1060186C

Two ageing vehicles from First at the Stokes Bay Bus Rally were East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Trident 32707/W707PHT and Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SLF 40957/S372SUX. The Darts are now disappearing in Hampshire as Streetlites dominate with the Wright Eclipse Urban and Optare Solo SR but the Trident is likely to remain in service on the CEMAST shuttle for a while longer with sister bus 32708. 200_2_P1060188C
