The bottle brush shrub is in full bloom again, it is native to Australia and relies on the hight temperatures from bush fires to create the heat needed for it to release its seeds. The picture in the Pip is a plant that I grew from seed but in order to get the heat I needed for the pod to release its seeds I wrapped a pod in tinfoil and used a blowtorch.
