The twin hull survey vessel 'RLM Cerberus' of Red Lion Marine departing the Hudson Dock. Per social media, the ship was tasked with supporting the offshore support vessel 'Assisster' off Seaham harbour.

Early morning surveying of the dredging work carried out in the last week in the Port of Sunderland by the small survey vessel 'UKD resolution'.

An overnight arrival all the way from the Port of Newcastle, the survey vessel 'Baltic Explorer' is berthed at Greenwells Quay. The ship has an interesting history having apparently served for the French Ministry of Defence for a decade prior to its acquisition by the Garant Group. In the afternoon, the ship departed from Greenwells Quay and moved the short distance upstream on the River wear to Corporation Quay (PIP #1).

As far as I can gather from limited information online, the ship is used by the Environment Agency to survey tidal levels in the rivers. As far as I can tell, the ship goes some distance upriver on the Wear when it visits, but the AIS feed cuts out at Wearmouth bridge unfortunately. After a short visit to Sunderland (arriving 0800 - departing 0945), the survey vessel Humber Guardian continued south to Hartlepool.
