Red grouse (Female)

After carving out a Lino cut of a Red grouse for home made Christmas cards I decided that I would head off with binoculars and 300mm zoom to try and grab a couple of shots. They gave me a bit of a run around but finally settled long enough.

300mm lens for a landscape shot! I did have my 35mm with me, however being the lazy photographer that I am I stuck with the lens that was on the camera. It is mainly a reference photo for a sketch that I may do one day.

Got the chance for a wander out this Saturday, juggling binoculars and camera can get very frustrating at times. I wandered up on to higher ground to see if I could spot anything on the moorland. Tricky to capture and get in the viewfinder when you bring the camera up to your eye.
