Turegano was an important town many years ago but it suffered population decline along with all the lesser towns and cities of Spain. Now it is just the castle ruins that keep it on the tourist trail.

I really liked this town. Lots of interesting back streets and curious corners, nooks and crannies. It was September 19, but look at the temperature (in red on the left); I guess this would be approx 95F!

The largest Plaza Mayor in Spain. I waited for ages for the guy in the pink shirt to shuffle off but he must have used up a whole reel of film! Mind you, there was probably a guy behind me ,,,
