This is Natural Arch in Death Valley National Park. The arch is reached by a short hike up a canyon, but the trail continues past the arch and we hiked it until we came to a dry falls that the ladies did not want to climb (shown in the inset photo).

Natural Bridge is in one of the many canyons in Death Valley National Park. The bridge is an arch in the canyon, a short hike from the parking area. It is possible to hike beyond the arch which we did, but there are several dry falls that require some climbing and we were stopped by one of those, the ladies unwilling to do the climb.

Natural Bridge is an arch in a canyon in Death Valley National Park. Seeing it requires a short hike up the canyon, and it is possible to hike beyond the arch to the end of the canyon, which we did.

This is Double Arch in the area of the Windows in Arches National Park. When there recently we thoroughly explored the area, climbing up to the base of the second arch where a figure is just visible in the photo.

We spent a day in Arches National Park on our recent trip and hiked the area of the Windows. One of the trail goes to Double Arch, shown here, which we climbed (some figures are just visible in the photo).

Just visible in the arch across Laguna Canyon are the ruins of the Betatakin Cliff Dwelling, one of three dwellings in the canyon, last inhabited about A.D. 1300. There are ranger-led tours in better weather that descend into the canyon and bring one closer to the ruins, but the trail was covered with snow and ice when we were there and the tours were not available.

The arch is La Manneporte and we were hiking the cliffs from Etretat to the Antifer Lighthouse when the photo was taken.

This free-standing arch is to be found along the Corona Arch trail to the west of Moab, Utah, and off the Potash Road. It is a three mile hike, out and back, but with a couple of difficult sections that require some careful climbing.
