Era prezioso il mestiere del calderaio (lu cuallaral'): realizzava oggetti indispensabili alla vita quotidiana: la callar', una pentola di varie dimensioni in rame stagnato che serviva per lessare la pasta; la sartasc'n' che serviva per friggere, ecc. Era cura del calderaio ricoprire internamente i recipienti di rame con uno strato di stagno per evitare che si ossidassero, rendendo tossiche le pietanze (l'operazione si ripeteva ogni qual volta lo stagno si consumava). Tutti questi oggetti facevano parte del corredo domestico e si appendevano ai chiodi di un telaio rettangolare di tavola appeso alla parete.
