Instead of counting comments in discussions as in previous meetings, we will be using the voting website PollUnit.com.

The German developers of PollUnit provide the interface in English and French, as well as German. At the time of writing they are testing Spanish.

But this is hardly an issue when voting is with ✅ and ❌. There is also an abstain option between them.

The previous separate discussions for each voting topic will instead be separate PollUnits. You will open these with a unique link for each poll, sent to you in individual emails by PollUnit. You can expect these to be delivered a few days before the meeting.

This provides the required level of security to assure 'one vote per person', because a link can only be used once.

1. During the meeting, when you are informed that a particular poll is opened, you will use your personal link from the email, to be taken to a page like this.

2. You should click "Enter now" to display the page where you enter your name, which can be your ipernity name if you wish, and click "Proceed as guest". You do not need to have a PollUnit account, as your vote will be recorded against your email address even without having an account. If you click on a vote option prior to doing this, you will still be taken to this page first.

3. Cast your vote, and a "Saved" notice will be displayed temporarily to confirm your vote has been accepted.

4. While it is now a secret ballot, you can observe the progress as the votes come in. It is probably best to exit the PollUnit browser tab when voting has been closed.

5. But not to worry if you don't, because for the next voting topic opened with your personal link, PollUnit would display this warning.

New invitation link
There is an active invitation session from a previous opened invitation link. If you use this new invitation, you will be logged out of your previous session and cannot resume its participation.

You can use this link to check out an example PollUnit. One difference during the real voting is that you will need to use the link in the relevant email that will have been sent to you. Also, this example is slightly different because it is not one requiring a unique invitation link.
