Paolo ,I think it's simple courtesy, responding to a message.

Nessuna intenzione di mettere in difficoltà qualche partecipante. Questi giochi servono anche a insegnare che , oltre ai fiori e agli insetti ecc., esistono in tutto il mondo oggetti di vita interessanti e fotogenici come le barche da pesca che ci fanno vivere il mare e i prodotti del mare .
Chiedo a chi si trova in difficoltà di cercare di fare qualche scatto sul mare o su un lago: siamo in luglio ,fa caldo e ci sono bel 20 gg. di tempo ! Coraggio , cerchiamo nuove emozioni !

It is very often the case that a theme will not suit everybody. I have an opinion on this theme, and note that Paolo already has suitable photos, or are they examples. But when did I last play, so if you find this theme ok, please say so.

I have to say I have been looking forward to a chance to walk away as my photos dont meet the themes or content of the Europeans. So be it I was the one who tried to keep them honest but I walk away after all these years knowing I have nothing to compere or match what Europe find as the theme. Let the completion go back to Europe Down under finally gives up................ I have to say thanks for all the years and the support.

Could you explain yourself a bit better, do you mean by a fishing boat, a boat meant for commercial purposes or if I take a fishing rod with me in my rowing boat is it also a fishing boat? In our surroundings are no commercial fishing boats anymore.

Pošto sam već pokrenuo ovu diskusiju moram da budem otvoren.

Prije toga da kažem da je Paolo Taninia galerija moja omiljena i skoro sve fotografije koje sam pogledao su moje omiljene. Ja sam pomalo ljubomoran kada vidim koliko je on svijeta prošao. I neka je, bogu hvala kad to neko sebi može priuštiti. I što je najvažnije, njegove fotogafije zasluženo su među najboljima.

Ali, kod izbora tema za kontest mora se voditi računa da one, po mogućnosti, odgovaraju svima koji žele da učestvuju u kontestu. Time ćemo povećati broj učesnika i imati veći izbor fotografija na raspolaganju. A to nam je, na kraju krajeva i cilj, zar ne?

Ja lično, volim takmičenja. Nije mi toliko bitno gdje će na kraju moja fotografija završiti. Ali volim da učestvujem i zato uvijek žalim što nemam u galeriji fotografiju koja nije of-topic, pa ipak uporno doprinosim kontestu mada znam gdje ću na kraju pročitati svoje ime U ovom slučaju i da mi daju godinu, a ne 20 dana, neću je imati. (Konačno, šta je tema ovog mjeseca: fishing boats or see or lake?)

Ne mogu da shvatim zašto uvijek, po svaku cijenu moraju da se pronalaze originalne i veoma često teme koje za koje se unaprijed zna, da budem do kraja otvoren, najmanje dva-tri imena među prvih deset.

I, koji je problem da, na primjer, ponovo s vremena na vrijeme tema bude landscape (in all seasons) ili reflection ili sunset or sunrise ili flowers ili insects ili night shots ili nature ili sky ili clouds ili people at work or heritage or abandonend or animals or portraits or street od rural lige etc., za koje se unaprijed zna da će odgovarati većini učesnika. Uvijek ćemo ponovo da se divimo novim i uspješnim fotografijama na zadate teme.

Nadam se će svi ovu moju intervenciju shvatiti kao dobronamjernu i u korist svih nas na Ipernity.

Ops! Rientro oggi da una piccola vacanza e leggo.....ma cosa sta succedendo!
Prima di tutto ringrazio per le preferenze ricevute dalle mie foto, amo molto i fiori in generale e ne abbiamo visti di belli. Complimenti a Paolo.
Per quanto riguarda il resto che dire.....io ogni volta che leggo il nuovo tema del mese mi scoraggio e penso di non avere neppure uno scatto,,,,,poi con calma mi rendo conto che qualcosa ho. A volte sono andata a scattare per il tema, posso comunque capire chi è in difficoltà e tutti giustamente devono avere la possibilità di giocare.
Bene.... aspettiamo con ansia la decisione di Gudrun!

Hi everybody, I am not at home right now but have found a laptop to post a new theme.
For July my suggestion is "Architecture in black and white" with the focus on lines and structures. The photo doesn't have to be a total view, details are very welcome. I think everybody can find a photo for this theme no matter where they live. It doesn't have to be a work of a famous architect, your own neighbourhood or house will do, just make the photo look architectural.

Sorry , I have been away and could not put a comment. I agree anyway with Rob and Franco, I had already searched for photos on the theme, but I had only one, already used in a same contest years ago. Not so easy to find boats when you leave near mountains, and in any case this time the theme did not found the the agreement of many users. We always have to think on all the people, we don't want to loose any of them, eh Steve, please stay with us. Thanks to Paolo to his decision and to Gudrun for the new theme.
