Context matters, IMHO as long as it doesn't drown the main subject. And the guy stayed put, let me take a few pictures I struggled to focus because it was quite windy. Glad you like it and glad to see you back.

I would have been tempted to crop a photo like this one, without realizing the butterfly was prominent to dominate the photo. An thee result is strong tension between the butterfly and its surroundings.

Sometimes when we succumb to croping temptation to focus closer to the main subject we emprison it in a static frame... that is why I left the surroundings, also because they came out beautifully out of focus !
