I love the shallow depth of field. The tracks in the sand tell a tale of low tide.

Very cleverly composed with excellent use of leading lines. I love the detail in the foreground and the light is gorgeous. The out-of-focus background works very well and the boat is perfectly placed in the frame. A great photo Isabel.

Obrigada Keith, I regret the nikon is so heavy...

I used to use a Nikon D700 and D3 and a lot of their lenses and the weight was what eventually convinced me to use the Olympus Micro Four Thirds system. I've never regretted it!

I am not happy if camera is not full frame… cannot really explain it, tried even ultra brilliant Leica D-lux but it didn’t work for me. There is also that I go mad with gear with many programs, you always touch something that puts you were you don’t want to be, I am mostly a manual shooter, this program parafernalia is not for me…
Sometimes I regret the nikon macro lens but as I don’t shoot much super macro, the macrofunction on the Leica is enough for me most of the times. I keep the nikon with the 300 for birdwatch or some “special effects”. I really love it but too heavy to carry on a daily basis.

I decided that I didn't need full frame as I was only going to show my photos online, and I wouldn't get them printed huge.

I have an Olympus 100-400mm Zoom lens, but like you I only carry it on a day when I'm sure I'll need it, which is rarely nowadays. I used to use the Nikon 300mm and it's a superb lens.
