Great find!

Friends of mine just visited Portugal and told me about all they saw (and ate, and drank ...) I'm very jealous.

Such amazing shapes and textures...............and with the red stone, it reminds me a bit of the head of a dragon.

It looks very weathered - is it driftwood? Very nicely composed - I like how you've filled the frame with it.

Wonderful texture and shape, is it driftwood or the effects of the weather

None, it is cistus ladanifer roots as they grow underneath soil. When I was young (and still today) we used them on fireplaces because they burn slowly and give a lot of warmth.
