In 1978 we crossed Death Valley the first time, Xata, it was very, very hot! Ten years later we overnighted there on a campground. The temperatures were very pleasant. We sat outside of our camper, drank a beer and watched a lot of satellites. Thank you for these nice "souvenirs!
We had a great problem, Xata, our camper had as well as no fuel :-(((!
