Gopura or also called Gopuram is a rising tower at the entrance of an hindu temple. Gopuras are exquisitely decorated with sculpture and carvings with a variety of themes derived from the Hindu mythology, particularly those associated with the presiding deity of the temple of which a particular gopura is.

Gopura of the First level is tetrahedrons of X style wall but atairway and door. The atairs quite steeply because the and ancient believed that to audience the god they have to play respect by humber their selves. The stair in thr east, wich is the way of Khmer,is broken; therefore, it was called 'Chong BandaiHak' (inaccessible stirway).

Gopura of the Third Level is the biggest and the most completed gopura; the building is similar to gopura of the first and second level. Beyond, there is a wall or a pa-rapet round a palace; archeologists calls prasat.

At many parts of this historical treasure a renovation is necessary. I hope that the Thai/Cambodian dispute will find a soon end that an international organization like UNICEF o.e. can start its program for maintenance this cultural asset.

The temple ruins here are not in the best of shape. There has been little restoration of the ruins themselves here over the years, actually, none at all. The Cambodians are very poor and do not spend any money toward upkeeping the ruins. Conversely at another Khmer ruin inside of Thailand, the Khao Phanom Rung temple complex, the Thais have restored the ruins with the help of the French archaeologists and the grounds are well kept, beautiful even, and very clean and pleasant.
