Ko Samui thirty years ago
The island Samui (Thai: เกาะสมุย) in the gulf of Thailand is a clear example how a paradise change into a nasty tourist stronghold. It changed from one of my favorites targets in to the most disliked one. Samui has changes into a center of overcharging every oncoming tripper.

Express boat from Ta Chang (elephant pier) to Baan Ang Thong on Koh Samui

Road on Koh Samui
The road around the island wasn't bituminized yet and finished at the point between Chaweng and Lamai Beach. The roundtrip wasn't possible not either by a moped.

I wasn't able to look at it and went to the neighbor hut to borrow a long machete.
The resort promise still was under construction, no much service was available.
