Stacking at Myrtle (Man.)

Unused De Nobele card, no. 44, showing the stacking of hay at Myrtle, Manitoba. Again the typography -- specifically the placement of the parentheses and the use of a colon where we would use a period -- gives away the fact that these cards were manufactured in Belgium.

C. S. Co. card no. 110, unrecorded by Souch. Part of a multi-card letter across the whole back: "...fashions in advance of us. Yesterday we went to Baptist Church in morning, and the train moved on during dinner to a small town called Sutherland. We got out and Dr. Coward, Emily and I went to a tiny Methodist church. Good preacher. After service we just got on train again when it started back to Saskatoon. It was a lovely night. Northern lights splendid and moonlight went..."

Hauling Grain to the Elevator for Shipment in Western Canada.

This is another Government Agent card that seems to be explaining how things work in western Canadian agriculture: "Each bag contains about 1 1-2 bushels. Each wagon contains 70 to 100 bushels." Unused.
