It feels like an over sweet commercial tradition.

Indeed Wierd it is an over sweet commercial tradition ... very heavily promoted by the candy and greeting card industries as well as the florists. Great job with your valentine ... you hit the challenge on the head. Just love that well loved teddy bear. :)
