Red Pyramid/ Dahshur

It is believed to be the world's first successful attempt at constructing a "true" smooth-sided pyramid (around 2600 bc).

Dashur is more than one hour away from Cairo, so there are almost no tourist around. Also you can go inside the pyramid without any extra fee
