I just love NZ bush! I have missed this place, we've only been on the peninsula for the albatrosses and penguins.

Penguins and albatrosses are special! You did not miss anything special there - it was typical NZ bush walk you can have at quite many other places. Only extraordinary thing there was a basalt rock (rock pipes). And also one fine thing there - trail was not crowded by tourists.
