there's something about this sculpture with its subdued lighting being so seperate from the delght and joy of the christmas lights and people that really makes this photo wonderful.

Bamberg is about an hour south of my ancestral village, Fechheim, near Mitwitz and Coburg. I've been there once back in 1980. The family name was Fechheimer, changed to Fletcher in the U.S. after WW1.
