I'm with you, Ulrich. When Metropolitan Toronto was amalgamated 20 years ago, the former City of Toronto (where I live) had to drop its by-laws against enclosure of land. Now there are fences everywhere -- and for what purpose? To keep the pink flamingos from escaping?
