Zanskar. Parkachik Glacier
Suru Valley in the Zanskar Valley of India. Retreating glacier, almost disappearing. 10 years ago it filled the whole valley far below for several kilometres. We climbed 500 meters from the road to get to the retreating base of this glacier, at 4500 meters on the other side of the Himalaya in the Central Asia massifs of Ladakh.
