Hello Arne. Although this is the holiest place on the River Ganges, and pilgrims flock here to immerse themselves and drink the water, the water is filthy. There are half-cremated bits of bodies in it, people wash their laundry in it, and we saw someone throw a dead pig in! NOT a swimming place!!!! But yes, very exotic!
