Hi Christine.....thanks for this...it must be variable. I have a South Indian friend who went North as a young man (probably c. 40 years ago) and was stunned and horrified at the colour being thrown about.....he'd never seen it before and had no idea. We took part in it this year.....!!!! Hugs, Diana
