Bench at Hidcote Manor Garden HBM!

Wilton & New Park are lovely open spaces along the River Eye just off the town centre of Melton. This fine bandstand is still used for concerts but on the Sunday of our visit none were scheduled. Happy Bench Monday to everyone. Enjoy the start of the new week.

Le château des Guilhem domine la ville de Clermont l’Hérault et est son symbole. Daté du XIIe siècle, il ne subsiste que les anciens remparts, le donjon et l’ancienne salle des armes. Autour, des vestiges des vieux remparts de la ville avec tours et portes d’accès à l’ancienne ville. Le site offre un point de vue imprenable sur la vallée de l'Hérault. IN THE ONSLAUGHT OF TIME. The Guilhem Castle dominates the town of Clermont l'Hérault and has remained its symbol. Dating back to the 12th century, all that remains are the old ramparts, the keep and the old weapons room. Surrounding it are the remains of the town's old ramparts, towers and gateways to the old town. The site offers an unbeatable view over the Hérault valley. IM ANSTURM DER ZEIT. Die Burg der Guilhems dominiert die Stadt Clermont l'Hérault und ist bis heute ihr Wahrzeichen. Aus dem 12. Jh. stammend, sind nur noch die alten Stadtmauern, der Bergfried und ihr ehemalige Waffensaal erhalten. Rundherum befinden sich Überreste der alten Stadtmauer mit Türmen und Zugangstoren zur alten Stadt. Der Ort bietet einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf das Hérault-Tal.
