Meet Brigette
This is a 1958 Renault 4CV. I'm heading away with her for about a week, to catch up with a few more of them (see inset, also www.4cvregisteraustralia.org ). Best wishes to all, I expect to be online only infrequently while away.
View on black. Explored.
Mustering Renaults
The Renault 4CV Register of Australia is the national group for old rear-engined Renaults. It holds a national Muster every two years. During the 2013 Muster at Junee, the group visited a historic homestead claimed to be "Australia's most haunted house". No, we didn't see anything spooky! Renault Caravelles in the foreground, 4CVs nearer the house. www.4cvregisteraustralia.org
Renault 4CVs in Forbes
Renault 4CVs gathered outside the Forbes Town Hall for the official welcome, to begin the events of the Renault 4CV Muster for 2015. Best on black.

Blue reflections
At least the Easter rain enabled some pleasant reflections, such as this Renault 4CV.

Renault classics
A group of Renaults on a rainy day during the 2015 Muster. Models are 4CVs, Dauphine, and R4L. Try it large on black.

The Alpine
For the motoring enthusiasts. :-) Renault Alpine A110 at the 4CV Muster. It's amazing to think that these cars, winners of the World Rally Championship in 1973, were mechanical descendants of the little 4CV.

Ageing gracefully
The Citroen DS (often known as the Deesse or Goddess) appeared 60 years ago - technically far in advance of any other car of the time. At the Queensland French Car Day, the Citroen enthusiasts arranged a mass gathering (see also note).

Frosty beard
Copied from an ancient negative (1966). That's me among the Central Masson Ranges, after a climbing day a short distance inland from Mawson Station in Antarctica. The surface is blue ice and I'm leaning on VW "Antarctica 3" - the third in a series and the first 'usable' motor cars on the continent (one of the early explorers had a car which proved near unusable). Here's a musical link.
I originally posted this in conjunction with my ipernity article "Preserving history".
Dad's motorcycle?
Two youngsters climbing on what I presume was their dad's prized motorcycle. Seen in Luang Prabang, Laos. Musically, there's only one way to go!
