Coastal walk #2
It was great winter weather, so I joined some friends to take a walk in the nearby Murramarang National Park. It had all been burnt in the huge fires of late 2019/early 2020, as can be seen by the charred tree trunks, but it is recovering - some parts more than others.
Coastal walk #3
Continuing on our coastal walk in the Murramarang National Park, my friend's wife is an artist and wanted to stay near the water painting. While she did so, my friend and I continued inland a little and climbed Mt Durras, which the book told us gave "keyhole views" of the landscape. What that really meant was that there are trees around the summit - this view looking west to Clyde Mountain was the clearest landscape I could find. Best viewed large.
Coastal walk #5
Ocean swells breaking on a rocky headland. It was interesting to watch how the swells wrapped around the rock outcrop, arriving at each side from a different direction. Best viewed large.
Artist at work (Coastal walk #6)
I mentioned with one of my earlier images that I did this walk in company. My friend's wife is an artist and we left her to sketch some coastal views while we walked a little further. On our return, she was well advanced with her artwork of the coastline looking south. Best viewed large.
Rock wall
Walker on a rock shelf at the base of cliffs on the Murramarang South Coast Walk. Happy Wall Wednesday, everyone.

National Park map
Map of Murramarang National Park, showing (PiP) where this was taken at the start of the South Coast Walk.
Start of the Murramarang South Coast Walk
At the entry to the Murramarang National Park and the South Coast Walk. A clickable map in the PiP. My previous image of the "wall" was taken shortly after beginning a portion of this walk with friends. More images to follow.
The walk begins
In perfect weather, the start of the South Coast Walk in the Murramarang National Park commences on the beach, with the very valid name "Pretty Beach". Happy Fence Friday and have a good week, everyone.
Rock shelf
This rock shelf is in front of the rock wall shown in a previous image (PiP). It is on the South Coast Walk in the Murramarang National Park.
