Passing ferries
Two ferries passing each other on Sydney Harbour. At left the wall (note) shown in my previous image, one of the pylons on the famous Harbour Bridge.

Up the wall
Taken from a ferry (the yellow bit top right) while I've been away. No prizes for guessing where. :-) Happy Wednesday Wall, everyone.
As I was very late posting this for Wednesday, I'll get in a little early and also wish everyone a Happy Fence Friday and a great weekend. :-)
Silvery Gibbon
In the Mogo Wildlife Park. These live in undisturbed rainforests on the Indonesian island of Java, however those are diminishing. Consequently, these have been listed as "endangered" since 2008 with fewer than 2500 adults now believed to be in the wild. (Info from Wikipedia) They are being bred in captivity here.
I shall now be away for about a week, best wishes everyone.

The new bridge
Although it's now been operating for some four years, this is still known as "the new bridge", having replaced the earlier one which ran from near the shooting point for this image. Happy Bench Monday and have a good week, everyone.

Interesting plant
I have no idea what this may be, but it's spring here and the bush is flowering and producing berries in a nearby garden. See also the PiPs.
Maybe it's pareidolia, but does anyone else see faces here? :-)

Revisited
Another view of the old fence I showed a few weeks ago. I've since met the owner who confirmed that it was an old discarded rural fence that he has retrieved and restored. Happy Fence Friday and have a good weekend, everyone.

Wall with visitor
It was an unexpected delight to find this visitor on a local wall. Even better that it stayed while I grabbed the image. Best viewed large for details. HWW everyone.

Australian Coot
It is National Bird Week here, so it seemed a good time to post this image of an Australian Coot, also known as a Swamp Hen, and related to the Eurasian Coot found across Europe and Asia.
