Canoe Tree
This old eucalyptus tree is over 200 years old. Long ago, Aboriginal people carved a large (2-3M) section of bark from it to make a canoe (see PiP) . It is one of the few trees used for this purpose still surviving and hence the fence to indicate its significance and to give some protection. There is a sign giving details (also in PiP). UPDATE: I realised when I posted this that I didn't have a shot of the bark removal area - I've now added one in the PiP.
Happy Fence Friday and have a good weekend, everyone.

It's incredible that the tree survived being carved!
Happy Friday and a good weekend to you, too!
